“We are the ancestors of the future.”

— Indigenous Wisdom

Dear Friends,

Before we begin...

Last week, Isabella Cruz discovered a vast geometric structure rising from the seafloor—a fractal interface, alive and growing. In Louisiana, the Devereaux family fractured along the fault lines of the Decency Spectrum: Marie’s kindness amplified, Jacques’s fear curdling into exile, Celeste’s voice becoming a beacon, and Jean-Pierre still haunted by a war fifty years past. Isabella followed a mysterious message to a remote Alaskan island, where an old man named Joseph told her the truth about the seeds: they do not create, they amplify. They are a mirror. He gave her his grandmother’s walking stick, pulsing faintly like a heartbeat, and sent her back to the ice. And aboard the Aurora II, Anne intercepted a recording of Sterling’s voice—fragmented, barely human—whispering a confession: “I would have done it anyway. Without them. I would have done it all.”

Now, the ice is waiting. Mei Lin is still beneath it. And Sterling is on his way.

Here is Chapter 17 & Part III: The Alien Within—∆ The Carthage Cycle.
